Break The Box Productions was founded by Lance Hopper, that's me -- hi! I'm a Film and Content Producer who's been building up skills for a decade. I may be a little green but learning to Produce was the best decision of my life. Before that I was (and still am) a Video Editor with over 9+ years of experience in the film and media production industry. Additionally, I have a secret love for screenplays; writer or reader, I love picking apart the good and the bad from a script! I'm seeking a position to apply creative solutions to any and all media production problems.
 

Most recently, my Short Film Homeless has been making the round on the festival circuit. It was most recently selected to the Downtown LA Film Festival! I was the writer, producer, and director.

My production experience comes from positions like being a Studio Tech III for KTNV 13 Action News in Las Vegas, directing live newscasts. Working under an ABC affiliation, I started as a Floor Director, ROSS Camera Operator, Audio, Vis, Prompter operator and worked my way up to Technical/Director for live news broadcasts. I have also previously acted as a video editor, photographer, and media producer for new stories, online media content, and commercials.

I used to work with Central Christian Church, where I was a production assistant and assistant video editor for commercial media, also operating RED cameras in live and non-live productions.

Before that, when I lived in New York, I worked as a production assistant for Amiaga Architectural Photography, working on commercials and other promotional material. At the same time, I worked with Aurora Productions to produce and edit commercials to air on local television.

Before that, I worked with Neulion Inc. where I was a highlight Editor for sports organizations such as the NHL, NFL, and NBA.

All this all started at a very young age, when at 14 I was a YouTube video editor and thumbnail creator for the largest gaming content creator in a specific niche. 

​

I've attended classes at CSN and UNLV in Las Vegas, and have a Radio & Television Production degree from Suffolk County Community College in New York. While I majored in TV, I minored in film, being the only student to emerge from their program with a film production demo reel. 

​

Aside from these feats, I really enjoy volunteering my time for things that matter to me. My biggest feats were attending 2 relief trips from my church in New York. One to Guatemala in 2015 to help HIV-abandoned orphans, another to help the homeless Native American population of South Dakota in 2016.
